In case you were wondering, this blog was primarily designed for friends and family to keep in touch, hear what I'm up to and see photos of my travels. In the back of my mind I'm hoping that this blog might prove helpful to anyone thinking of doing what I'm doing - moving to South Africa.
I'm not the best speller in the world, there's bound to be grammatical errors, and I might occasionally write something mildly offensive (I hope not, but sometimes the foot finds the mouth with surprising ease). Please read it with a light tone, a good sense of humor and knowing that I would never intentionally upset anyone.
